Foods of Athenry began through existing as so many farm families do – producing delicious food from their land and putting it on their kitchen table. Combined with the realities they were faced with in the 2000s of agricultural uncertainty and childhood health issues (with a resulting interest in food health benefits), they decided to sell their animals and launch a bakery. Despite hurdles in their path, including a premises fire in 2011, they have thrived, creating and releasing innovative products.
